Virginia Louise Burchfield

Virginia Louise Burchfield, 80, of Morris, OK, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at her residence surrounded by loving family members. .

Virginia was born in Morris, Oklahoma on December 6, 1936, a daughter of the late Bertha May (Simmons) and Olen Henry Ledford.

Virginia and her husband Lawrence Burchfield were married April 16, 1955 in Richmond, California. She worked as a Clerk at Okmulgee County Tax Commision.
Virginia spent her time buying, selling and managing estate and auction sales.
She also enjoyed raising goats and had a small dairy.

Mrs. Burchfield was preceded in death by her parents, brother Obie Ledford, and sisters Hazel Stilwell and Ruby Hilby.

Virginia is survived by her husband Lawrence, brother Cleve Ledford, son Larry Burchfield and wife Rebecca and son David Burchfield. Grandchildren Steven Burchfield, April Griffin and husband Jeramie, Katie Michael, David Glen Burchfield and his wife Christie, Allie Burchfield, and Nixon Burchfield. Great grand children Xander Griffin, Braden Griffin, Dylan Tash, Khloe Routt, and Brennon Routt. Step grand children Chad Smith, Elizabeth Potter, Cedrick Burchfield and Jason Been and many uncles, aunts and cousins. Virginia was a deaconess and a true Proverbs 31 woman.

Service will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 11:00AM in the Independent Church of God in Tulsa, OK with Minister Steve Andrews officiating.

Interment at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery Fort Gibson, OK.
