Marleen Joan Nielsen

April 20, 1955 — February 20, 2018

A memorial service will be held honoring and remembering the life of Marleen Joan (Pagano) Nielsen next month at Hope Assembly of God in Malaga, NJ where her father pastored. Marleen went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, February 20, 2018. She was 62.

Marleen was born April 20, 1955 in Cortland, New York to Theresa Pagano and John Pagano.

She graduated from Delsea Regional High School and continued her education at Evangel College, Springfield, MO and graduated from Glasboro State/Rowan University, Glassboro NJ, with a Bachelor of Arts in Education.

In September of 2007 she met Erik Nielsen. It was love at first sight for both of them. They were married December 28, 2007.

Marleen worked as a teacher at Epic Charter School until July of 2017 when she retired. She taught, tutored and tested students in grades K-12 in all subjects.

Marleen was an author and prophetic voice to the Body of Christ. Her background included Biblical Studies, Education, and Music. She was the founder and President of International Life Centers (ILC-established 1995), a Speaker, Psalmist, Ordained Minister, and a member of Morning Star Ministries and International Gospel Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She authored three books; "Free At Last", "Without Spot or Wrinkle", and "Building a Habitation for the Lord". If Marleen was not writing, she was enjoying music. She had the ability to play many different instruments and she loved to sing. She often said she could sing her bad feelings away, and if she wasn’t singing, she was humming. Marleen had a loving and generous soul. She was strongly focused on her spiritual life and helping others to do the same. Her heart was completely devoted to family and God.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Theresa and John Pagano.

Marleen is survived by her loving husband; Erik Nielsen, daughter; Tiffany Lindsey and her husband Matthew, sons; Derek Cannavo and Phillip Cannavo and his wife Kristen, step-daughters; Alyssa Nielsen, Lauren Buchanan, Lindsey Godfrey, and Victoria Nielsen, step-son; Nicholas Nielsen, and grandchildren; Braxten, Peyton, Weston, Lyla, Alessa, Rohan, Kace, and Tren. She also leaves three sisters; Kathy Spuler and her husband Paul, Rose Ann DeMers, and Doreen Pacella and her husband Michael. Marleen will be missed by all who knew her.
