Christopher Thomas Hubeli

A memorial service will be held honoring and remembering the life of Christopher Thomas Hubeli Wednesday, February 14, 2018 2PM at Highland Park Christian Church with Chaplin Keith Fallis officiating. Chris passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was 58.

Chris was born August 21, 1959 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Sara (Campbell) Hubeli and Jack Frederick Hubeli.

He was a 1977 graduate from Nathan Hale High School. After graduation, he continued his education at Oklahoma State University and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Political Science in 1981. Chris then started the process of his lifelong dream of becoming a cop and entered the Tulsa Police Academy.

Chris met the love of his life, Gayla Sue (Wade) Hubeli in 1990. On June 1, 1992 Chris and Gayla were married in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

In 2017, Chris retired as an Officer from the Tulsa Police Department after protecting the community for 35 years.

Chris enjoyed spending time at his cabin on Grand Lake with his family and friends. He had a love for border collies, especially his own, Kiley. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and in his younger years he was an Eagle Scout. Chris had a funny yet tough personality. He will be remembered as a dedicated and honest person who loved taking care of his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sara (Campbell) Hubeli and Jack Frederick Hubeli.

Survivors include his loving wife, Gayla Hubeli; brother, Jeff Hubeli and his wife, Sandy; sister, Celia Hubeli; nephew, Josh Hubeli and niece, Cori Hubeli.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Christopher Hubeli to Tulsa Police Department Memorial Foundation or the Humane Society of Tulsa.
